Kandice Brittany Leggins, 30, of Indianapolis passed away Saturday, November 3rd, 2018. Kandice was born in Indianapolis, to Susie Strong (LaTour) and Dave LaTour on September 6, 1988. She graduated from Franklin Central High School in 2008, and began working in area nursing homes. Kandice went on to earn her CNA (certified nursing assistant) degree in 2013 from Blue River Career Programs. Kandice had a passion for helping residents in the health care facilities she worked for, often times spending her own money to help those in need. She truly loved her profession, and indeed had a special gift. Kandice is preceded in death by her dad, Dave LaTour; and grandparents, Tom and Peggy Steele, and Virginia Williams. She is survived by one daughter, Harmony Leggins; mom and special dad, Susie and Danny Strong; two brothers, Brandon LaTour (Savannah), and D.J. Strong. A memorial service to honor the life of Kandice Leggins will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service-Franklin Township Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Rd. Indianapolis, IN. 46237. In lieu of flowers, please make charitable contributions to help Kandice’s family defray final expenses. Contributions may be made at any PNC bank to the Kandice B. Leggins memorial account. Additionally, envelopes will be available at the funeral home during the memorial service.
