Karen Maxine Owen

Karen Maxine Owen, 73, of Westfield, Indiana passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on February 20, 2023.

Karen was born in Ft. Riley, Kansas on April 23, 1949, the daughter of the late John G. and Barbara M. (Clapper) Pavolich. She and her husband have been members of Christ Lutheran Church in Valparaiso, Indiana since 1989, serving on the Altar Guild for many years.

She enjoyed gardening and flowers, baking, crafts, playing tennis and golf, and traveling to Australia, Hawaii, Disneyland and Disney World. Most of all she loved her family, including her three grand dogs.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Kris Owen; son: Tom Owen; and brother: John Pavolich, Jr.

Karen’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 1:30pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 2610 N. Campbell St. Valparaiso, IN 46385. An option for live streaming will be available. The family would like to thank doctors Milton and Dugan and their staff, and a very special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Infusion Center at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, as well as their hospice nurse, Gracie.
