Kathy Lee Sharp, 72, of Indianapolis passed away on October 23, 2023. Kathy, the eldest of six children, was born to Richard & Elsa (Wonders) Krukemeier in Beech Grove on January 19th, 1951. Kathy’s life was raising her three children and working at St. Francis Hospital in supply distribution for 42 years. She loved spending time in nature and was even a turkey hunter once upon a time. Kathy enjoyed antiquing with her sisters, looking for pieces to add to her collection of blue glass, mason jars and antique furniture. She enjoyed baking Christmas cookies with her sisters every year but disliked cooking, only doing so when she had to. Kathy was never without her to-go cup of iced tea or a clever remark. She will be missed greatly.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, David Sharp and her brother James Krukemeier.
Kathy is survived by her spouse, Bud Henley, children Terry (Scott) Shanley, Stacy (Marty) Meisberger, and Jason (Amanda) Henley, 8 grandchildren and her siblings, Linda (Charles) Devine, Barbara Krukemeier, Richard (Debra) Krukemeier, and Julie (Doug) Eland, and many nieces and nephews.
Per Kathy’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Instead there will be a private family gathering. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Ste. 205
