Kenneth “Kenny” Wicker

Kenneth Dean Wicker, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023. He was born May 12, 1933, in Gwynneville, IN to the late Merrill B. and Louise R. Wicker (Sutherly). Kenneth was married on June 18, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Rosemary A. Wicker (Kemmerer). Kenneth served in the army from 1953 to 1955, which he spent a majority of the time serving in Germany. After serving in the army, Kenneth worked at Miller’s Regal market as a butcher for several years. He then took a job at Allison Transmission, where he spent most of his time in maintenance. Kenneth enjoyed fishing and bowling.

Kenneth is survived by his sons Greg Wicker, Indianapolis, and John (Debra) Wicker, Indianapolis; daughters Carol Wicker, Indianapolis, and Karen Wicker, Indianapolis; grandchildren Michelle (Dario) Hernandez and Randi (James) Nash; five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Rosemary Wicker (Kemmerer), daughter Leann Sansone, son in law Jon Sansone, sister Francis Sweeney, brothers Junior Wicker, Johnny Wicker, Bud Wicker, and Jim Wicker.

Visitation for Kenneth Wicker will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 21, at Singleton & St. Pierre Funeral & Cremation Services at 7602 Madison Ave. in Indianapolis. The family has suggested memorial gifts be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
