Leonard Parisi, age 89, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Leonard lived several years at Crestwood Village North Indianapolis. He was born August 15, 1931 in Anderson, Indiana, the son of the late Fred and Mary (Perry) Parisi. Leonard proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Delphi Corporation in 2000 after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Leonard was also the last of his family that owned Golden Crust Bakery in Anderson. Leonard is survived by his nephews, Jeffrey (Julie) Schepper, Barry (Angie) Schepper, Kenneth (Jeff) Young, and Fred Young; niece Mary (Hi) Angela Young; and Leonard’s best friend, Michael Lyerson. Leonard is also survived by many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Joyce Locke Parisi; two sisters, Angela Parisi Young, and Barbara Parisi Schepper; and niece Sharon Kay Edwards. Services will be held Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Services and Crematory, 515 E. 53rd Street, Anderson with Reverend Gary Cable officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park with military honors with the assistance of Daleville American Legion and United States Navy.
