Louise Kinney Hoagland, 96, of Greenwood passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023. Louise Kinney Hoagland, 96, of Greenwood passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023. Louise was born on September 10, 1927, in Scottsburg, Indiana to the late Clifford Hall & Edith Myrtle “Hap” Kinney.
In 1945 Louise graduated from Scottsburg High School and then attended Indiana University.
On June 20, 1948 Louise married Stephen A. Hoagland at the First Christian Church of Scottsburg, Indiana.
Louise worked for Indiana National Bank as a Vice President and Trust Officer for 24 years retiring on December 31, 1992. She was a 50+ year member of Christ United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Andrew Hoagland Jr., an infant son, Stephen Andrew Hoagland, an infant grandchild (Christopher John Westercamp) and her brother, Clifford “Budd” Kinney.
She is survived by her children, Kathleen Louise (Kenneth) Westercamp, Stephen Terry (Tonda) Hoagland; four grandchildren, Spencer Phillip (Katie) Hoagland, Stephen Bradley Hoagland, John Michael (Tarrah) Westercamp, Laura Kathleen (Juan) Cespedes and four great grandchildren, Carter Matthew Hobson-Hoagland, Grayson Phillip Hoagland, Milan Adrien Cespedes, and Adeline Sofia Cespedes.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:30am at Christ United Methodist Church 8540 US 31 S. Indianapolis, IN 46227 with the service at 11:30am. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood, Indiana.
