Lucille Burdine, 85 years old of Jamestown, IN, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Brownsburg Meadows surrounded by her family and friends. She was born January 30, 1930 in Rock Castle County, KY, daughter of the late Rosco and Locie Barnes McKinney. Lucille married Herman Burdine in July 1946 in Rock Castle County, KY and moved to Hendricks County, IN in 1950. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Roxie (Robert) Stewart of Jamestown, sisters, Flonnie (Cotten) Burdine of Jamestown, Glenda (Hershel) Shepherd of Lebanon, Lorrene (Arvis) Harper of Sommerset, KY and Lonnie McKinney of Hamilton, OH, daughter-in-law, Jaynie Burdine (Melvin) Raider of Thorntown, grand-children, Rob (Stephanie) Stewart of Jamestown, Robin (Chuck) Osborne of Thorntown, Butch (Vivian) Burdine of Lebanon, Relina (Rick) Ball of Waynetown, and Wade Burdine of Lafayette, great-grandchildren, Josh (Sammi), Michael, Nathan, Austin, Aubrey, Ethan, Adam, Clara, Andrew and Kennedy and great great-children, Emmalynn and Mackenzie. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Carter Burdine and siblings, Jack McKinney, Bill McKinney and Betty Goforth. Family and friends will gather Wednesday, April 29, 2015, 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Services will follow at the funeral home, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Popplewell officiating. Lucille will be laid to rest in the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
