Marianna Siegfried passed peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2015 surrounded by family at Brown County Health and Living in Nashville, Indiana. Born June 26, 1926 in Morganfield, Kentucky to Robert and Mary Ida (Buckman) Stodghill. She is survived by sons Chris (Becky) Kazimier, Michael (Cathy) Kazimier, daughter Nana (Marshall) Varner, four grandchildren Chris (Jennice) Kazimier, Carey (Chris) Wooton, Benjamin (Audrey) Kazimier, and Rachael (Carl) Chambers as well as ten great-grandchildren. Marianna also leaves behind siblings Bill (Margaret) Stodghill and Janice (Harold) Clements. Her eldest sister, Helen Lovern joined her in heaven later the same day. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert and Gene Stodghill, husband Bob Siegfried, and granddaughter Melissa Kazimier-Bourgone.Marianna moved to Indianapolis where she worked for the state and met her first husband, Henry Kazimier. They settled in Brown County, Indiana where their children went to school. She later married Jim Walters who passed in 1968. Marianna loved the arts and music and was a founding contributor to the Little Nashville Opry. She married Bob Siegfried in 1975 and they lived in Indianapolis for many years. They enjoyed traveling and once Bob retired, they lived in Rough River, Kentucky and Indianapolis. In the early 80’s they bought a house in Cedar Key, Florida which they refurbished and loved. She continued to live most of the year in her house on Cedar Key, enjoying cooking and entertaining her many friends and neighbors until last fall when she returned to her home in Greenwood, Indiana. A celebration of Life will be held March 15th 2-5 pm, at the Seasons Lodge, 560 IN-46 in Nashville. Her family hopes you will come and share memories!
