Playing together in the 1960 Babe Ruth World Series was the highlight of the many years Marion and I played youth baseball together. I would throw baseballs (as a Pitcher) at Marion and he would always catch them (as the Catcher). Through high school and college, we were always there, side by side. He was a dear and true friend, and although not as geographically close as we would have liked in later life, my thoughts and memories of so many great times together stay warm in my heart. Note: The baseball pictured is signed by all the players on our 1960 World Series Team. As can be seen, I had the honor of signing next to Marion. God speed Marion!
