Max P. Owens

Max P. Owens, 87, of Wilkinson, passed away Thursday morning, February 1, 2024 at his residence in Wilkinson.

He was born April 2, 1936 in Crawford County, Indiana a son of the late Lingle and Dorothy (Pavey) Owens.

Max married the love of his life on July 20, 1957 and worked for the United States postal service for 33 years while raising three children. He and his wife attended Valley Grove Free Will Baptist in Anderson before her passing in July of 2023.  Max loved spending time with his family, hunting and yard work.

Survivors include; daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Marcum of Tennessee and Renee (Brian) Collins of Wilkinson; seven grandchildren, Bailey Owens, Dustin Owens, Tiffany Wilfong, James (Alix) Collins, Hope (Dillon) Green, Stephanie (Caleb) Norton and Hannah (Dylan) Follett; nine great grandchildren; brother, David (Linda) Owens of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; son, Randall Owens; and a brother, Don Owens.

Services will be at 12 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson, with Reverends Joe Roysden and Steve Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m., Tuesday until the time of services.
