Michael D. Richey

Michael D. Richey, 75, of Pendleton, IN passed away on November 26, 2022.  Mike was born on February 10, 1947 to the late Paul and Lois (Cade) Richey in Anderson, IN.

Mike was a graduate from Madison Heights High School in 1965. Not long after High School he went into the Army and served our country.  In his time in the military he earned the Purple Heart, bronze star, combat infantry badge, Army commodation medal, and the good conduct medal.  In Mike’s spare time he was active with AMVET as well with the Lion’s Club. After getting out of the military Mike Spent 34 years at General Motors where he was a machine builder.   He really enjoyed going to Florida to spend his winters and being on the beach.  What Mike enjoyed most was being with his grandkids and watching them play sports.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Eric) Weflen and Stacey (Trevor) Huddleston; brothers, Jim (Tonya) Richey and Rod (Laurel) Richey; Grandchildren, Ally Johnson, Emma Weflen, Avery Huddleston, Jack Weflen, Connor Weflen, Bennett Huddleston, and Zeke Huddleston; 4 special grand dogs.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathy Richey, and his brother John Richey.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 2-5 pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 East State Street, Pendleton, IN, 46064.
