Michael J. Moran, 68, of Indianapolis, passed away January 7, 2016. He was born January 5, 1948 in Indianapolis to the late Lee and Elizabeth (Cantwell) Moran. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 – 1973 and was a Vietnam veteran. Mike married Jamie (Roe) Moran on July 4, 1975 and she survives. Other survivors include sons Jimmy Moran, Roger (Brenda) Moran, Scott (Candy) Moran; siblings Pat Moran, MaryAnn Asbury, Lee Joe (Marydel) Moran, Ginny Cobb, Barbara (Darryl) Eastridge, Jerry (Sherri) Moran; sister-in-law Martie Moran; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and pet companions Little Bit, Shadow, Rocky and Lucy.Mike was also preceded in death by sister Rita Marsischky and brother Dennis Moran.Visitation will be 4 – 7:00 P.M., Monday, January 11 at Simplicity Funeral Care, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis 46227. Services will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 12 at the funeral home. Burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to www.gofundme.com/cxhypyys.
