Mitchell \”Mitch\” Travis Kuberski Mitch was born November 1, 1956 in Flint, Michigan. He went to be with Jesus at 9:40 p.m. on Sunday, August 2nd, after a brief but valiant battle with Pancreatic Cancer. A man of strong character and a huge heart, he married Terri Glenn Kuberski in Las Vegas, April 20, 1990. He became a second father to Terri’s children, Christopher Dokken and Tara Dokken, who loved him dearly, and quickly integrated himself into Terri’s family and siblings. Mitch loved fishing with a passion, and considered sitting on a creek bank with his fishing pole, enjoying God’s nature, his spiritual Utopia. He loved his yearly fishing trips to his cabin in Michigan, returning to his family and his job refreshed. His annual cruises with the family was another thing that made him completely happy.Mitch worked at Blossom Chevrolet in Indianapolis for 29 years, and was a true craftsman at his position as an automobile painter. Since his diagnosis, his many friends from His years at Blossom, and \”buddies\” from his years at Warren Central High School surrounded him with love and concern. He loved them all dearly. Mitch attended Indiana University before deciding that painting automobiles was his true passion. Mitch had 4 sisters, and his sister Lisa was at his bedside when he left us. Terri wants to thank Ashley, his \”angel\” from St. Francis Hospital for caring for him with love and compassion. Mitch told all who would listen that his angel Ashley took him through the tunnel to the white light, and he had no fear because he had this glimpse of Heaven. His \”brother\” Steve Dokken was by his side through the end of his struggle. Mitch left behind too many friends and family to mention. If the old saying \”you have to be a friend to have a friend\” is true, Mitch must have been a terrific friend to all. He leaves behind the love of his life, Terri, stepson Chris (Liz), stepdaughter Tara, 3 grandchildren, Lorelai, Carrington, and Lukas. Sister in \”love\”, Tish Glenn (Bryce), brothers in \”love\”, Tyler (Lisa) and Todd (Mary) Glenn. His mother and father In law, Leonard and Darlene Glenn, who considered Mitch their son. Terri was not only Mitch’s wife, she was his nurse who took such good care of him in his final months, his caretaker and his best friend. Please pray for her at this difficult time. Mitch’s Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held immediately following until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Terri: My loving husband, you will be in my heart forever.
