Marvis “Penny” Hope Chapdelaine, 93, of Fishers passed away on March 12, 2024 surrounded by her family. Penny was born on May 14, 1930 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Walter and Margaret (Collier) Hill. After graduating from Mt. Pleasant Heights in Providence, she married the love of her life, Roland Chapdelaine in 1949 and the two were married for 58 years before his passing. She worked as an insurance agent and a real estate agent around the Anderson area. She found her spiritual home at Southern Heights Christian Church and was a faithful member for many years. Penny was a member of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She loved playing Bingo!
Penny will be dearly missed by her children, Darlene (Terry) Wilson, Karen (Peter) Hillenberg, and Roland (Cathy) Chapdelaine; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jim) Miller, Kenneth (Sarah) Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Kraig (Sommer) Wilson, Kurtis (Kali) Wilson, Amber (Eric) Hensley, and Jessica (Brad) Brinkman; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland; grandson, Jeffery Chapdelaine; and sister, Doreen.
Family and friends may gather from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, March 15, 2024 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Bob Hendrickson will be officiating. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home.
