Ms. Sharyn A. McClanahan

Sharyn A. (Seamon) McClanahan, age 71, of Indianapolis, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday afternoon, May 14, 2022.
Sharyn was born on July 1, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Herchel C. Seamon and Mildred Miller Seamon. Sharyn was a great mother who did everything in her power to give her son a great life growing up. Many of her values, her hard work ethic and strength will live on through him. She helped to build a great business in her later years. She lived a simple life and was very happy with her dogs and cat. Maggie and Boo will miss her dearly.
Sharyn was many things to many people whether it was guiding new recruits through the construction industry or just lending an ear to conversations with friends and coworkers. Many people looked to her for advice and she will be missed by many.
Don’t be sad for Sharyn as she would not want that. Just know that she would want you to celebrate her life and the good times, and the good conversations she had with many. She is pain free now and I wish her well on her journey.
Survivors include her son, Charles “Chuck” Hiles (Valerie): granddaughter, Audrey, of Greenwood; brothers Mike Seamon (Linda) and Kenny Seamon (Elaine); and many other extended family members.
A celebration of life held at a later date by her son, Chuck Hiles. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel.
