Nazaria M. Mendoza, age 92, of Whiteland, IN, passed away at her home Thursday morning, February 18, 2021.Nazaria was born on May 3, 1928 in Ejido Tepehuaje, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Miguel Perez and Sapopa Medrano. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Jose P. Mendoza. Nazaria dedicated her life to her family. Her passions in life were cooking, sewing and spending endless hours nurturing her many flower gardens that surrounded her home. Survivors include her children, Jose P. Mendoza, Jr (Jill), of Indianapolis, Javier Mendoza (Rita) of Whiteland, Maria Walker (Bill) of Fairland, Roberto Mendoza (Ramona) of Needham, David Mendoza (Debbie Morrin) of Gainesville, GA, and Daniel Mendoza of Whiteland; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.Nazaria was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jose P. Mendoza.A mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of The Greenwood Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 3 at 11AM. The family will receive guests at the church from 10AM until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks must be worn at all times and social distancing will be practiced. Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of The Greenwood Catholic Church. The funeral for Mrs. Mendoza will be livestreamed on Wednesday, March 3 at 11AM.
