Norma Jean (Hill) Gallamore, wife of Donald L. Gallamore, 94, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023. Born to Kenneth B. Hill and Loma Trott Hill March 23, 1929, she graduated from Anderson High School in 1947. She married Don on March 12, 1948.
Jean was a devoted wife and mother and always welcomed family and friends with a smile. She sold Tupperware and worked part time at American Playground. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and square dancing. In her later years she loved reading a good book, watching the birds and stray cats that made themselves at home in the backyard, and visiting with friends and family.
Jean is survived by her devoted husband, Don, and daughter Susan (Edwin) Rihn of Greenfield. Other family members include half-sister Annie Schreffler, sister-in-law Joan Gallamore and Jane Lipan, granddaughter Nichole Caldwell, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Connie Gallamore, and half-sister, Sandra Starost
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of the Brethren, 741 Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN, 46012.
