Patricia “Patti” L. Latz, 81, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 15, 1941, in Beech Grove to the late, Carl R. & Gladys (Howe) Green. Patti had been a waitress and bartender at a several locations in Chesterfield & Anderson. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary for the VFW & American Legion. She was also a member of the Veterans of Madison County and past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Patti was an avid and talented artist, having sold some of her precious works. Above all she enjoyed being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Ric (wife, Jena) Latz and Cyndi (husband, Ronnie) Roberson; grandchildren, Eric & Emily Latz; sisters, Carline Lakin and Becky (husband, Tom) Simpson; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded by her parents; husband, James “Jim” Latz; siblings, Russell Green & Betsy Jane Green; mother & father-in-law, Ed & Bernita Latz; brother-in-law, Donald Lakin; sisters-in-law, Sue & Judy Green; and long-time friend, Rufus “Ed” Wasson.
Services will be at 1:00 pm Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Gary Cable officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Keystone Woods, Legacy, & Paradigm Hospice, for the care of Patti over the last three years.
