Patrick Michael Burns, 49, of Sheridan passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis on August 17, 1971 to Sue Lynne Burns.Patrick graduated from Zionsville High School in 1990. He enlisted into the Navy in 1993 where he served actively for two years followed by six years of unactive duty. He then went on to work for Peine Engineering for the next 26 years through the Local Union 440. Patrick enjoyed spending most of his time with his family, animals and friends, especially his childhood friends, Eric Alcorn and Todd Dulin. In his free time, you could find him watching Notre Dame football, attending concerts with his wife, or using his one-of-a-kind banter to cheer on his kids at Clinton Central sporting events. Patrick is survived by his wife, Kisha Burns of Sheridan; his children, Tyler Burns (Hannah Bartley) of Frankfort, Ryan Burns (Carissa Goodnight) of Tipton, Merley Pickett (Devon Ewing) of Elwood, and Brent Pickett of Peru; his grandchildren, Landon Slusher, Waylon Pickett, Myles Pickett, and Carson Bryant; his aunt Melissa Burns of Lebanon; his cousins Mike Burns (Becky Maubach and son Samuel Burns) of Paragon, Tina Snider of Indianapolis, Shane Snider of Indianapolis; his nephew, Jacob Neal of Westfield; and many more loved family and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his mother Sue Lynne Burns; Grandmother Mildred Snider; his uncle Bradley Burns; and his cousin Donovan Snider. Family and friends will gather Thursday, May 20, 2021 for visitation from 11am until time of services at 1pm at Zionsville Christian Church, 120 N. 9th St. Zionsville, IN 46077. The family welcomes flowers, but if you would like to make a memorial contribution in his name, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org, or by mail at 230 W. Monroe Street, Suite 200 Chicago, IL 60606.Masks or appropriate face coverings will be required for those in attendance at the services.
