Preston Edward Maxwell, “Ed”, age 77, of Indianapolis, beloved husband of Marilyn, passed away at St. Francis Hospital on Monday, December 21, 2020.Ed was born on February 9, 1943 in Nashville, TN. He loved motorcycles, hot rods, NASCAR racing, and cruising the ocean. He was a hard worker and had an inventive mind that would not stop. He may have looked like a grizzly bear, but he was a Teddy Bear at heart. And, of course, loved playing Santa Claus.Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; four children, Cheryl, Beverly, Preston Jr. (Eddie); stepchildren, Shelly and John Carter, Gary and Mary Winters and Dale and Sherri Winters; four siblings, Candy, Linda, Harlan and David; 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.Ed was preceded in death by his parents, George Maxwell and Lois (Barnes) Linville; one daughter, Anita; and two brothers, Mike and Jimmy.Funeral services and burial for Ed will take place on Monday, December 28 at Singleton and Herr Mortuary. Due to pandemic restrictions, all services will be private.
