At his home, Randy Smith, 50 years old of North Salem, IN, lost his fight with cancer, Wednesday, May 29, 2013. He was surrounded by people he genuinely loved and who loved him. Randy was a good ole country boy, who loved the simple pleasures of life, family, friends, farming, nature, wood cutting and his junk. He loved teaching people all he knew and never met anyone he couldn’t have a conversation with. He was born May 14, 1963 in Vigo County, IN, son of Harry K Smith and Evelyn R Smith. Surviving are his mother, Evelyn of Jamestown, sisters, Sandra, Judy, Zelda and Becky all of Terre Haute, Rose of Michigan, and Nema (Matt) Lowe of Darlington, brothers, Gary of Terre Haute, Harry, Jr. of Georgia, and Bill of Texas, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father, Harry K. Smith, sister, Nelda and brother George Allen. Private services will be held at a later time. Randy was a John Deere man, gone home to be with God.
