Raymond “Skip” Esselborn

Raymond “Skip” Esselborn, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on November 27, 2023. Skip was born on February 5, 1949, to father, Raymond B. Esselborn Sr. and mother, Rosemary C. Esselborn.

Skip worked fifteen years for the railroad as a trackman. He loved camping, and fishing at his cabin in Owen County. He never met a stranger, as anyone who knew Skip could attest. He loved old cars, and always had one parked in his garage to go out cruising in from time to time. He was truly loved by family and friends alike and will be sorely missed.

Skip is survived by sisters, Katherine Haun (Mike), Gertrude A. Haus and Marie Caruthers (Terry); brother, Louis Esselborn; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday, December 4 at 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 520 Stevens St. Indpls., 46203, with visitation on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Singleton and St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis 46227. Skip will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery following the service on Monday.
