Richard “Rick” Edward Braun

Richard “Rick” Edward Braun, 71, of Indianapolis passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023.

Rick was born in Cincinnati, OH on June 29, 1952, son of the late Edward T. Braun and Anna (Haggard) Braun. Rick moved from Cincinnati, OH to Danville, IN at age 14.  He graduated from Danville Community High School in 1970 and went onto Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis to study electronics. Subsequently, he began his career at Ovation Audio Video where he worked for 20+ years. He ended his working career at Fed Ex when he retired in 2018. He loved playing golf, playing his guitar, collecting vintage baseball cards and coins and was a lifelong Beatles fan.

Survivors include his children: Heather (Kyle) Brewer, and Hollie (Brian) Pratt; four grandchildren, Ella, Kole, Hanna, and Kaleb. Siblings: Jim (Kathy) Braun, Barbara Braun, and Dale (Sarah) Braun. He was preceded in death by his parents and ex-wife Teresa Spurling Braun.

Family will gather for visitation on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 1pm-2pm at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A celebration of life will be held afterwards.
