Robert Anthony Leachman

Robert Anthony Leachman, 71, of Zionsville passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday November 29, 2018.Robert was born on March 4, 1947 in Mobile, AL; the son of the late Jesse and Bobbie (Stephens) Leachman. He married the love of his life, Kathy O’Connor, on December 30, 1967.Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served his country in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was his family’s resident baker, enjoyed shelling “Texas” pecans, camping, and fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. He also enjoyed hand-carving walking sticks, but above all else, he loved spending time with his family.Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Kathy; a daughter Rebecca (Mark) Doud and two grandchildren, Hannah Doud and Jonathan Doud.Family and friends will gather Monday December 3, 2018 for visitation from 10am until time of services at 12pm, at College Park Church 2606 W. 96th St. Indianapolis, IN 46268. Burial with military rights will immediately follow the funeral service at Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery in Whitestown, IN.
