Robert Edward Bender of Zionsville, Indiana, passed away April 13, 2017.� He had spent the past ten winters in Bonita Springs, Florida.�A Celebration of Life will take place Monday, April 17 at 6:00 P.M. with visitation two hours prior at New Hope Christian Church, 5780 South Main Street, Whitestown, Indiana.�Born in 1937 to the late Robert and Dorothy Bender of Zionsville, Indiana,�he graduated from Pike Township High School and attended Indiana University.� He owned and operated Bender’s Shell Service for almost fifty years in Indianapolis.�He is survived by his daughters Jayne (John) Shubat and Karen (Lon) Richmond, and son Brian (Rosa) Bender, five grandchildren, Nick (Laura) Worley, Bryce Worley, Alexandra Shubat, Brandon Bender, and Cassandra Bender, and five great-grandchildren, and his wife of almost sixty-one years, Delores Ann Summers Bender.�Bob was never happier than when he was behind the handlebars of a motorcycle, mowing the yard, talking with friends, houseboating on Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee, or visiting with family.� He was always thinking about his next adventure.�Memorial contributions may be made to charity of your choice.�
