Robert Wayne Porter, age 77, of Coatesville, passed away August 26, 2023. He was born December 6, 1945, in Rockville, Indiana, to Charles and Doris (Philabaum) Porter. He enjoyed going fishing, golfing, bowling, and was famous for his Fireball Fridays. Mostly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Sandra Porter; children: Tim (Judy) Porter of New Castle, and Tricia (Josh) Abdon of Coatesville; grandchildren: Nicholas (Emily) Remsburg of Monrovia, Jayden (Kendra) Remsburg of Bloomington, Nolan Remsburg of Franklin, Haley Abdon of Aspen, Colorado, Olivia (Cameron) Egler of Greenfield, Jarred Porter of Indianapolis, Sara Roberts of Jeffersonville, Robert Porter of Muncie, and Chase Abdon of Coatesville; great-grandchildren: Madison Remsburg of Monrovia, and Andrew Remsburg of Monrovia; sister: Deb Martin; sister-in-law: Jackie (Rick) Robinson of Greencastle; as well as several nieces and nephews. Robert is preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Doris Porter; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Russell and Elizabeth Cagle; daughter: Tamara Ann (Porter) Remsburg; and grandson: Taylor Evan Roberts.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Heritage Lake Clubhouse, 8915 E. County Road 400 North, Coatesville, IN, 46121.
