Roland Eugene Chastain, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021.Roland was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 4, 1935, a son of the late Matthew and Eleanor (Green) Chastain. Roland married the love of his life, Patricia Salrin on August 25, 1956.Roland was a member of Prospect Lodge #714 F&AM, the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite and the Murat Shrine. He was the owner and operator of Matt’s Alignment Service in Indianapolis.Survivors include his loving wife of over 65 years: Pat Chastain, daughters: Denise (Jack) Corman and Marlena (Jim) Durrett; grandchildren: Neil Durrett, Jack Corman Jr., Jay (Katie) Corman, Justin (Stephanie) Corman and Rachel Durrett; eleven great-grandchildren, a brother: Larry (Mary) Chastain and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 1pm until the time of the memorial service at 3pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 481 W. Main St. Greenwood, IN 46142.

Pat, Denise and Jack and family, I just received the message of Roland's passing, wanted to just say how sorry I am for your loss, it is especially hard to love the family, especially at Christmas when you are used to being with your loved ones, I lost my Dad and Mom and Tim all within a year of each other and the holidays are very different for us. Hope you are well I miss seeing everyone, Trish Mosier
