Sadly, my path at the Crown Point VA clinic did not cross with Dr. Ballenger's in this lifetime. I don't think a single day goes by, that I don't hear about the great work he did helping our nation's heroes. What a gift for him, to have touched so many lives! Thoughts and prayers go out to the family he left behind.

Ron Ballenger was one of the first psychologists I hired when I became Chief of Psychology at the VA. Ron was also one of the best people I ever hired: He was a caring leader as Mental Health Manager at Crown Point; a tremendous clinician who helped many veterans; and a wonderful person.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Ballenger's passing. I enjoyed working at the VA with him over the years. He was always kind to his co-workers and patients alike. Even though he was retired for several years, veterans still tell me how much he helped them. What a wonderful legacy he left. Wishing his wife and family comfort and strength.
