Ronald William Kramer, age 61, died unexpectedly on April 13, 2024 in his home. He was born June 18, 1962, in Indianapolis, IN to William Leo and Mary Bernardine (Aubuchon) Kramer.
Ron graduated from Roncalli High School in 1980, and continued his education at Purdue University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He went on to pursue a career with places such as Kraft, Welch’s, and Eli Lilly. He earned his Professional Engineering License during his time at Lilly. He also went on to get a teaching certificate to teach High School science at Greenwood Christian Academy. Most recently, He was an Engineering Consultant at Corteva AgriScience.
Ron married his one and only love, Mary Jane (Thies) Kramer on December 29, 1984. They met while both were in their college years, and they had an incredible life together. They celebrated 39 years of marriage and raised a beautiful family.
Ron’s Catholic faith was extremely important to him. He and his family have been parishioners at Nativity Catholic Church since 1999. He was involved with ministering to the sick and was passionate about the pro-life movement. In 2009, he spearheaded a project to place a memorial for the unborn at Nativity for all to pray for the end to abortion. He was a Missionary for the Gospel of Life, and for many years helped with Life Chain and 40 Days for Life. He passed his strong faith on to his children and was so happy that before his passing he was able to see every one of them confirmed in the Catholic Church. His greatest desire was to lead everyone he met up to Heaven.
Ron is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Arthur and Cecilia Kramer and Frances (Willis) and Walter AuBuchon, and his father, William Leo Kramer. He is also preceded by other family members: Uncle Jerry Kramer, Uncle Edward Early, Uncle Ron Vantreese, Aunt Marie Ford, and cousins David Ford and Dane Kramer

We will then celebrate Ron by praying a rosary, followed by a traditional Catholic mass of Christian burial at 12pm. Afterwards, there will be a procession to Calvary cemetery where we will lay Ron in his final resting place on Earth. Those who wish to honor Ron in a special way can do so by donating to Priests for Life, or to the Great Lakes Gabriel Project at P.O. Box 422 Camby, IN 46113, or by website at https://engage.suran.com/goangels/s/give/new-gift?slug=website-donate-button. Ron was deeply loved and will be deeply missed, but most importantly he would want everyone to remember that they are “unfathomably precious”, which he was quick to tell anyone, “God Bless you.”
