Rosemary Yarber

Rosemary Yarber, 92, formerly of Indianapolis went to her Heavenly Home on March 9, 2024.  The daughter of Rodney B. and Ruth (Hayworth) Lucas was born on April 1, 1931, in Acton, Indiana.  She married the love of her life Raymond L. Yarber in October 1950, and they were married 57 years before his passing in 2008.

Rosemary was a member of the Acton Baptist Church for over 83 years and was honored as the oldest living member.

Rosemary was a loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and aunt.  She is survived by her two daughters – Dana R. Wood (husband Mark), Dee L. Cox (husband Steve), brother, Jack Lucas (wife carol), four granddaughters, one great granddaughter, five great grandsons, and one great great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Wilson St. Pierre Franklin Township Chapel, 5950 East Thompson Rd at 1:00 PM.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.  After the funeral service, Rosemary will be buried at Acton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Life’s Journey Hospice at 10421 North CR 100 East Indianapolis, IN 46234.
