Roy Argabright, 82, passed away on February 23, 2023 at his home after a long battle with multiple health issues. He was born to the late Boyd and Augusta (Dowden) Argabright on September 23, 1940. He graduated in 1960 from Fortville High School. He retired from Guide Lamp in 1995.
He loved spending time with his family, boating, fishing, flying, building and flying RC airplanes, going to state parks and hiking, and watching his grandchildren play sports.
He was an avid woodworker, IU fan, and going to Chicago Cubs baseball games.
He was married to the love of his life, Joyce (Fox) for 62 years. They have three daughters, Tonia (Roy) Auker, Anita (Kenneth) Paschal, and Diana (Jeff) Holmberg. Seven grandchildren, Nathan (LeeAnna Stewart- fiancée) Auker, Wade (Jennifer) Auker, Blake Paschal, Wayne Auker, Hannah (Dylan Hampton- fiancé) Holmberg, Grace Holmberg, and Ryna Paschal. Six great-grandchildren, Kairi Auker, Asha Auker, Roman Stewart, Jensen Auker, Zayden Auker, and Ashton Auker.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Joseph Argabright, Richard Argabright, Donald Argabright, Keitha Austin, and Patricia Rupert.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, all memorial contributions in Roy’s name may be gifted to the American Heart Association.
