Samuel S. Jones

Samuel Steven Jones, of Greenwood, Indiana, was born on February 15, 1954 and went home to be with Jesus along with those he loved who have gone before him on September 25, 2022. He was born to John Alfred and Patricia Ann Jones in Brazil, Indiana…they preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his Great Grandparents John and Blanche Jones, Harold and Dorothy Lutz, his brother, Richard Jones and sister, Julia Zeman, a niece Kelly Harper, and a son in law, Craig Boeck…he is survived by his sisters, Shirley Hanna (her husband Tom Hanna), Sandy Weasner. He is also survived by his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Shirley Annette Louden-Jones who he married in Speedway on January 27, 1973, his sons John Michael Jones, Samuel Joseph Jones-Ellard (and his husband, Steven Jones-Ellard), his daughter Aimee Elizabeth Swain (and her husband, Adam Swain) and his much loved grandchildren who he loved fiercely, Acen Phoenix, Carter James and Steele Memphis Swain.

Sam owned Janitorial Options in Greenwood, Indiana for 4 decades.  After he retired, he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and his grandkids.  He also enjoyed volunteering for the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County.

A Celebration of Life will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, September 29^th at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main Street Greenwood, IN with a visitation from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
