Scott Allen Coakley, age 52, of Indianapolis, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

Scott was born on September 30, 1971, in Beech Grove, IN to the late Ronald Lee Coakley and Kathleen Anne McGraw. Scott attended Franklin Central High School. He worked as a Union Carpenter with Local 301 in Indianapolis for over 26 years. Scott loved sports and enjoyed coaching baseball, softball and basketball for his children.

Survivors include his children, Madison Coakley (Gunnar Willams) of Indianapolis, Kyle McCreary (Allouri) of Indianapolis and Aaron Schwarzkopf of Beech Grove; step-father, Robert McGraw of Indianapolis; brother, Jim Coakley (Jennifer) of Morgantown, IN; sisters, Katherine Ploog (David) of Fairland, IN and Kristen Hudson (Charles) of Rockingham, NC; grandchildren, Gannon, Andrew, Wyatt, Marcus, Jax, Sylas, Shawn and McKenna; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Scott will be held at 11AM on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Franklin Township Chapel. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, October 15 from 2PM until 6PM and again on Monday morning from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Burial will immediately follow at Orchard Hill Cemetery.
