On Tuesday, January 25, 2022, Steve Neese, devoted husband, brother and uncle passed away peacefully in his loving wife’s arms at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kelly; fur babies Oliver and Fluffy; brother Mike Neese (Jamie) and their two children Branden and Jenny; brother Ritchie Neese (Tanay) and his daughters Stevie Jean (daughter Melanie) and Victoria Neese Brame (Alan).Steve was born on October 20, 1955, in Lebanon, Indiana to his parents Betty Jean Detherage and Richard Farris Neese. He graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1973. Steve and his brothers started Neese Brother’s Construction. They built many houses throughout Central Indiana and enjoyed riding their motorcycles south through Central America during the cold Indiana winters. In 1982, the brothers and their family established Neese Brother’s Potato Place in the City Market downtown Indianapolis. It was love at first sight, when Cousin Diane brought her best friend Kelly to join the team. From that point forward, Steve and Kelly were inseparable. They were glad to return to Zionsville in 2001 upon the completion of their quaint home in the village. Steve’s favorite past times included strumming the guitar, reading books, projects around the house, sitting on the front porch, and loving on all their fur babies throughout the years. All are welcome to join us in celebrating the life of Steve at Simplicity Funeral Home in Zionsville on January 31, 2022.
