Todd Stewart Nash, 62, of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away on September 22, 2023. He was born on October 24, 1960, in Lansing, Michigan, to RuthAnn Nash (Roberts) and the late Roy Addison Nash. Todd was a devoted Christian, and his faith in God and his love for his family were central to his life. His children and his granddaughter brought him immense joy.
Todd is survived by his loving wife, Ré M. Nash (Fite), his daughter Samantha R. Pierce (Joshua Pierce), his son Shane M. Nash and wife Cheryl L. Nash (Dillman) and granddaughter Carmyn A. Nash; son Travis J. Nash and wife Britney L. Nash (Wade), his brother Byron S. Nash and sister-in-law Moya J. Nash (Dunham) of Hixon, Tennessee, and their children Heather Purtee of Indianapolis and her sons Thomas East and wife Ellie (Vogel) and Sam Purtee, all of Indianapolis; Amanda Engle (Kevin Engle) and son Finnegan of Seattle, and William Nash (Hailey Freres) and daughter Maeve of St. Louis; brother Shawn S. Nash and sister-in-law Susan J (Postmus) of Huntington, IN and their children, Connor J. Nash (Paige Young) and daughter Collyns N. Nash, Drew S. Nash (Lexie Moriarty), Zachary J. Nash; his sisters in law Ta Schuitema (Todd) and nephew Justin and Via Fox (Shane) and niece Nicole and nephew Steven and many other family.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, Roy Addison Nash, paternal grandparents William Clint Nash and Halley A. (Forester), maternal grandparents Charles S. and Nona Mae (Maddox) Roberts, Uncle and Aunt Dale I. Royal and Elnora (Roberts).
Todd attended Jenison High School and later pursued higher education at Michigan State University, Davenport College and Aquinas College. He had a diverse career working in construction, home improvement retail and wholesale and most recently as a plumbing consultant.
Todd was an active member and found solace in his places of worship. He was a member of the High School Road Church of Christ from 1988-2016 and later attended Plainfield Church of Christ from 2016-2023.
In his free time, Todd enjoyed church activities and Bible study. He had an avid interest in current events and politics as well as a love for western movies and Big Ten football and basketball. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his cherished family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 7, 2023, at the Plainfield Church of Christ. Visitation will take place from 10am-12pm with a service following at 12pm. Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting with the arrangements. Please, no flowers. Todd would have preferred that you spend that money to make a memory with your family.
Todd Nash will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His soul is now at eternal rest. May that knowledge and his memory be a source of comfort to those he left behind.
