Truman L. Ward, age 79, of Greenwood, passed away April 3, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Beech Grove on April 28, 1944, to Ralph and Helen Ward, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife: Betty Ward; children: Greg (Carla) Ward, Ronda Sue (Joe) Fyock, and Tonya Lynn (Paul) Hosie; as well as seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis.
Arrangements are in the care of Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care.

Truman Ward, the kind of person you look for in a friend, my wife Sharon and I met Truman and his sweet wife Betty camping, we were blessed to have the site right next to them, a conversation ensued almost immediately, and instantly knew we had just made a wonderful friendship and time proved us right. I will hold in my heart our conversation and stories about our past, how interesting it was to hear his experiences and antics whether it was around a campfire or over a dinner table. Truman's love for his wife and family was heart and soul, he and Betty's love for each other warmed my heart. Truman loved his three children and spoke of them often.
Betty, Greg, Rhonda and Tonya please know we share in your heartbreak and sorrow, we have you in Our Prayers, Our Hearts and in Our Thoughts. RIP Truman, I will miss you Friend.
