I'm so sorry to hear of VaRae's passing. She was my hairdresser for nearly 40 years until she retired. Though we never developed a friendship away from the hairdresser-client relationship, I felt that she was indeed my friend. We talked about life and our families each time she did my hair. She was easy to talk to and always so upbeat and friendly. And she was a good hairdresser. I missed her when she retired. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I feel like I know you all from the many times that we talked. I could tell that she loved her family and was proud of each one.

So sorry for your loss. VaRae was such a vibrant fun person. We went to Sheridan High School together and ran around some. We double dated but I can't remember who with now. We had some fun times together. She told me once she was related to Bill Plass my first husband, but I did not ask exactly how. She will be missed by many. Again, so sorry for her passing.

VeRae was such a gift to me and the Festival of Trees committee. I can not express how much we will miss her, and personally how much I will miss her friendship. So happy we were able to share a few margaritas this season and sad as we had planned to stay connected after the festival. Fly high friend you were special! Tracy Brandon
