Viola Mae Boring

Viola Mae Boring, 92, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on August 2, 2023.  Viola was born on May 18, 1931 to the late Joseph and Pearl (Henry) McKnight.

Viola worked for State of Arkansas as a file clerk for 15 years.  In her spare time, she really enjoyed to do gardening, basket making, quilting, and feeding the birds.  But Viola also had a very close bond with her Lord and Savior, where she attended Anderson Church of Christ.  She loved to read the bible and she was even a bible class teacher in her 80’s and was so proud of teaching people about the Lord.

Viola is survived by her sons, Doug (Kim) Boring, Raymond Lee Boring III, and Donald E. Boring; daughter, Gloria (Gene) Moncel; brothers, Jack and Gene McKnight; 11 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and special friend, Bill Mart.

Viola is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lee Boring Jr., her parents; brother, Edward McKnight; sisters, Vera Lemon, and Virginia Davis; and a grandchild, Raymond Lee Boring IV.

The visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 7, 2023 at Anderson Church of Christ, 1230 Scatterfield Rd, Anderson, IN 46012.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229 at 3:00 p.m.
