Vivian Leota Freeland, 92 years old of New Ross, IN, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 in Brownsburg Meadows. She was born June 14, 1922 in Indianapolis, IN , daughter of the late Karry V and Ruby Shryer Ridge. Vivian married Charles Ralph Freeland on December 19, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1987. She worked at IPL, retiring at age 55. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Janice “Jan” Freeland and Maxine Freeland, 15 nieces and nephews who adored her, 26 great-nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and 16 great great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters (Glenda, Dorene and Harriett), 2 brothers (her twin, Vernon and Denton) 1 niece (Carole) and 1 nephew (Robert). A graveside service will be held at the Lizton K of P Cemetery, Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Arrowood officiating.
