Willa Gene Medsker

Willa Gene Medsker, 87, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024. She was a long-time resident of Greenwood.
She was born May 31, 1936, in Westport, IN to Clarence Benjamin Rutherford and Selma Madge Shafer Rutherford
Survivors include her beloved children, Vicki (Gary L.) Clark, David (Cathy) Medsker, and Linda (Vu) Luong; her eleven cherished grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and twenty-four great great grandchildren; two sisters, Eunice Medsker and Mary Thurman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Floyd “Bill” Raymond Medsker on December 8, 2021; son, Mark Medsker; grandson, Luke Luong; sister, Martha Rutherford; and brother, Ronald Rutherford.
Willa was an assistant school nurse aide and bookkeeper at Greenwood Community School Corporation for many years.
She was a member of the Fifty-Year Club of Manual High School and was a long time member of Honey Creek Church. She also loved to play cards and bingo.
Visitation will take place from 10-12PM, Thursday April 11, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street. Rev. Doug Bohall will officiate a funeral service to follow at 12 Noon at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
